We will be spending a leisurely day experiencing the rugged beauty of the Cape Peninsula with it’s spectacular coastline and diverse fauna & flora. From Cape Town we will first visit the world famous Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. A walk in the gardens could reward us with sightings of some of the fynbos endemics, like the Orange-breasted Sunbird, Cape Siskin and the Cape Sugarbird. As we make our way south we come to the African Penguin colony in Simon’s Town, which provides for wonderful photographic opportunities. The remainder of the day is spent at the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, which boasts many recorded bird species as well as mammals and beautiful flora, called fynbos. We return to Cape Town via the Atlantic coastline.
