The beautifully tranquil Langebaan Lagoon is an internationally recognized reserve for migrant waders. With over 250 bird species recorded on and around the lagoon to date, this destination is a must for any keen birder. Two birds to look out for are the Southern Black Korhaan and the African Black Oystercatcher, both endemic to South Africa. On our return drive to Cape Town we will be driving through the wheat fields of the Swatland, where we will be looking out for Blue Crane, Secretarybird and some of the many Lark species. We will stop at Bloubergstrand beach, for the dramatic view of Table Mountain from across the bay before heading back to Cape Town.
