The dramatic backdrop of the Hottentots Holland Mountains makes a visit to the bird hides at the Paarl Bird Reserve a memorable occasion. We will spend an hour looking over the wetlands and water treatment settling ponds, hopefully chalking up many bird species. The Paarl Mountain Reserve will afford us extensive views over the Winelands. We will also have a chance of spotting a few of the Cape endemic birds.
